What Your Handwriting Says About You...

Tried this handwriting analysis test... My results...

1. You plan ahead, and are interested in beauty, design, outward appearance, and symmetry.
Bubbs' thots: hmmmm... I dun think I am such a shallow person - interested in outward appearance? hahaha..

2. You are a shy, idealistic person who does not find it easy to have relationships, especially intimate ones.
Bubbs' thots: Explains why I have not met my Prince Charming? haiz...
3. You are negative, fearful, resistant, doubtful, and/or selfish.
Bubbs' thots: hmmm...

4. You are not very reserved, impatient, self-confident and fond of action.
Bubbs' thots: I agree that I am a relatively impatient person...

5. You are self-confident and like to bring attention to yourself.
Bubbs' thots: hmmm... **eyes rolling** Really?

My Favourite Month... December

Been very busy for the past few weeks… Apart from celebrating my birthday, basking in the Christmas spirit and preparing to usher in 2006 with gusto, I’ve been kept busy with gatherings, gatherings and … yes, …, more gatherings…

I must admit – I’m not the kind of person who can have appointments after work for five consecutive days, followed by back-to-back appointments over the weekends… That’s also why the probability of me saying “onz” is higher if you jio me out from Thursdays to Saturdays. Sundays to Wednesdays are usually no-nos… But circumstances have it that I have to – for the past few weeks – go out even from Sundays to Wednesdays… But I digress, which I always do anyway… (oops…)

Anyway, having all these gatherings was super tiring (bad for my skin due to the lack of my much-needed beauty sleep… ok ok... I’m a super-duper-lazy piggy… oink oink, fine?)…

But all was fun… sharing personal views and opinions on certain topics (apart from the usual gossips and bitching of course… what else can you expect from gals, right? Gals are not gals if they dun gossip or bitch about … other gals… … see? I digress again…)…

(Trying very hard to be back on what I wanted to blog about….) Anyway, some of the conversations that were still fresh in mind include:

A. Elite versus Neighbourhood Schools
B. Are Men and Women Equal?
C. It’s Hard to Maintain a Relationship
D. Let Go When You Should…

I’ll share with you the details in my next blog entry… Stay tuned!

Cutting Your Nails...

I just can't stand it when people start cutting their fingernails in public places - on the train, at the bus-stops, even at fast-food restaurants!!! Geeezzzz...

Especially when they do not take caution in making sure that their nails dun fly everywhere and anywhere... Imagine someone's nails landing in your pack of fries... eewww... Or a pretty young lady who is all dolled up, whipping out a nail cutter from her handbag and went cutting her fingernails...

Sorry but I just find the action a complete turn off.

Can never figure why these people can't cut their nails at home... Even a few of my frens are guilty of doing this... but now, after I have given them my piece of mind and a totally-disgusted look, at least, they stop doing it in my presence.

To me, cutting your fingernails (and I am not talking about just cutting your chipped nail, but really cutting your fingernails one by one...) in public places is no different from digging your nose in public.

So if you are guilty of the above action, yet find those people who dig their noses in public totally unhygenic, pray get this into your head - you are just as unhygienic and uncouth as them! And pray do not come near me, as I will only have disgust for you.

One Compliment All Girls Like to Hear

"You are slimmer!"

Tell this to a girl and you see her grinning from ear to ear, before replying you in a seemingly-surprised tone, "Really? No la...". To which you are supposed to re-assure her by saying,"Really. It's true..." And trust me, dinner is on the girl.. ok ok.. that's a bit exaggerating... dinner will still be on you... but you know what I mean...

I was paid with this compliment from different people I met for the past few weeks. Frens whom I have not met for a couple of months or weeks... Yes yes, I was nonetheless the girl who grinned from ear to ear... but no... I did not fake the surprised tone. Instead, I graciously accepted the compliment with a "Thank you."

Previously, whenever people paid me any compliments, I blushed and tried to brush it off with a "No la... " Not that I was trying to be fake or gain re-assurance, but I never really knew how to react to spontaneous compliments, and the only intuitive reaction was to quickly close the conversation by saying "No la...". As I grow older, I have learnt to accept sincere compliments from my frens or strangers graciously with a smile and "Thank you."

There was one occasion when there was this guy standing right behind me on the escalator. Just when I was about to step off the escalator, he surprised me by saying, "You smell very nice."

I freaked out.

You do not tell a stranger he/she smells nice even if you think so, do you? Anyway, I turned my head, intending to give him my killer, indignant stare. But when I looked at him, well, somehow, he appeared sincere with his compliments, with no other hidden meaning... so in the end, I just gave a him feeble smile and said "thank you", before scurrying off.

Many of my frens (cousins, acquaintances, business associates, close frens, frens' frens) commented I am now much slimmer. Even my hairdresser who I have not visited for six months said so... But I hated it when he scrutinised me from head to toe before commenting in a a disbelieving tone, "You are slimmer now, aren't you? Even your arms are smaller now..."

Anyway, all these compliments made me just want to work harder to be slimmer... haha.. ok... at least for now (I just can't resist good food...) ... One fren said to me.. "It will be good if you can go back to you slim figure when we were schooling..." and I went.. "wah.. that's difficult...."

so now I am thinking of picking up my dance lessons again... But no.. I do not think I can do Chinese or ballet or modern dance again... apart from these... what other classes can I take... Any recommendations to get my fat ass moving?

Disclaimer: No no... if you are thinking along the line of a super slim me, you are wrong... I am still of average size... not super slim, and I dun think it's even in the slim category yet. My frens all made THE comment because I grew fatter since the beginning of this year or was that last year? ... so now, comparatively, I am slimmer...
